Compliance is at the heart of our corporate project and our organisation. Our teams are out in the field supporting our suppliers in their development efforts. Regular internal and external audits by experts and independent firms are carried out on social and environmental aspects with the aim of helping our suppliers to grow.

Our objectives

Have a social audit for 100% of our tier 1 and strategic tier 2 manufacturers

Question 100% of our strategic manufacturers about their environmental practices

The Eram Group is a member of the ICS (Initiative for Compliance and Sustainability)

This multi-sector initiative comprising 70 companies aims to improve working conditions in global supply chains. It helps member companies work together using shared tools, to pool audits and to share knowledge and best practices.

The Eram Group is committed to supporting more responsible leather manufacturing worldwide

The Eram Group is a member of the Leather Working Group (LWG). This international organisation brings together different players in the leather industry. Its aim is to assess the environmental and social performance of companies in the sector by setting up an audit protocol.

On our product pages, you'll find all the models containing LWG leather, which has been certified to an international standard for leather that is both environmentally friendly and socially responsible.

One obsession: maintaining French expertise

Our French industrial expertise is essential for the development and innovation of our circular economy projects. Our industrial division is a centre of excellence, combining expertise in design, manufacturing, transfer of expertise and innovation.

It was awarded the "Living Heritage Company" label in 2023. This label is awarded to French companies that combine tradition, innovation and excellence in their trades and products.

One commitment: passing on our expertise

In 2014, the Eram Group founded the Shoe School, a complete training course in all shoe trades. The course is open to jobseekers* and students receive a diploma on graduation.

Each person who joins the course is supported throughout their apprenticeship and trained by experienced staff. Four new apprentices joined our training programme in 2022 and two in 2023.

*Training course in partnership with Pôle Emploi and Opcalia, in Maine-et-Loire.
