Choose safety boots that are properly suited to your work environment
PARADE offers a delivery service for all its women's safety boots, which meet the needs and requirements of different professional sectors: safety boots for construction sites or working in green spaces. We also provide a whole selection of safety boots for maintenance operations, logistics, finishing work, industry, food processing or distribution.
Choose your boot according to your job and the environment in which you work. Fur-lined boots are designed for very cold environments or winter use. Other models with an offset heel and LG grip make climbing ladders easier and safer. Slip-resistant SR (formerly SRC) products will provide the protection you need in the production industry, the food industry or outdoor construction, for example.
Like our safety shoes, all our women's safety boots - with or without an inner lining – comply with the EN ISO 20345 standard, with an S3 or S3S safety level. They are antistatic and have a shock-absorbent heel. They are equipped with:
• a steel, composite or polycarbonate toecap to protect the toes against impacts and crushing;
• a slip-resistant sole (formerly SRC marking on the EN ISO 20345: 2011 version of the standard);
• a metal or fabric anti-puncture insert to protection your feet against sharp objects that could perforate the sole;
• a water-resistant upper suited to work in wet environments.
Nour women's safety boots are made from robust materials such as pull-up leather or split leather.
How to choose the right size when purchasing women's safety boots
Choosing the right size of safety boot is crucial for your comfort, but also for your protection! Safety boots that are the wrong size can cause rubbing or blisters, and cause you to trip and slip.
• Make sure you choose the right size, with a space of 1 to 1.5cm between your toes and the tip of the boot.
• Walk around a bit when you try them on; the boots should not be too tight or too loose, and the heel should not slide about in the back of the boot.
• Always try your safety boots on with the socks you normally wear at work; it is also better to try them at the end of the day, when your feet have swollen.

The main differences between men's and women's feet
The anatomical differences between men's and women's feet are relatively subtle, but can influence your choice of safety boots. In general, men's feet tend to be larger and wider than women's feet, but this is not always the case. Morphologically, women generally have a narrow heel with a wide forefoot and a proportionally longer foot arch than men. Most women also have a higher and stronger instep than men.
Given these specific characteristics, a standard women's shoe size is often narrower than a standard men's shoe size.
Women are also more prone to pronation (i.e. natural inward rolling of the foot when it comes into contact with the ground). Equally, since women have wider hips, they tend to bend their knees inwards. These two characteristics result in a greater load on the inside of the shoe.
If you choose a unisex safety boot, you should note that it will provide a comfortable fit in terms of width. So, choose your usual size. Take the time to try on your boots, test several models and do not compromise on comfort!
PARADE's advice on how to look after your safety boots
PARADE women's safety boots are particularly robust. They are designed to cope with the risks of your job and day-to-day demands. They may be exposed to dust, rubble, chemicals, mud, rain and impacts. They are subject to perspiration, creases from walking and crouching, etc.
You can increase their life-span by cleaning them regularly, using appropriate techniques and products:
• clean the split-leather or pull-up leather upper of your safety boots with a soft bristle brush to remove any dirt;
• apply a water-proofing spray to your boots before you use them for the first time, and then spray them regularly to maintain the water-proofing over time;
• spray your insoles with an anti-bacterial deodorant and change them when they start to wear out;
• change your socks every day, and wear socks made of absorbent, breathable material to reduce any bacterial growth;
• if possible, alternate between two pairs of safety boots;
• after you finished your working day
◦ remove any mud from the tread of the dual-density polyurethane outer sole;
◦ take out the insole to dry and air it;
◦ store your safety boots (without stacking them) in a well-ventilated place, away from moisture and any sources of heat;
◦ use shoe-trees to prevent the boots from losing their shape when you are not wearing them.
If your women's safety boots show the slightest sign of wear, you should change them.
