Men's safety boots
PARADE offers a wide range of men's safety boots, so that everyone can find the model most suited to their work environment and needs.
How to choose the right safety boots
Take the work environment to account
Make sure your footwear provide optimum comfort and protection against the risks associated with your job and your work environment. PARADE's range of men's safety boots are designed to meet the needs of people working in the construction, landscaping, production, finishing, logistics, maintenance and distribution sectors. They are suitable for professionals who work outdoors on non-stabilised surfaces or who are exposed to splashes of liquid.
However, there are many other assessment criteria that need to be considered when choosing between the different models of safety boots.
• Do your boots need to protect your feet from cold or hot ground?
• Do you need lined boots for winter?
• Do you walk a lot, or do you stand for long periods in a stationary position?
• Do you climb ladders or steps?
• Do you need to bend down and then stand up a lot?
• Are you looking for a safety boot that is flexible, versatile and non-magnetic?
• Are the design and look of the boot important to you?
How you answer the above questions will help you decide which additional protection options and comfort technologies are relevant for you, and therefore help you select the boot most suited to your needs.
The level of protection
To protect your feet from the mechanical, chemical or thermal risks linked to your work, your safety boots must comply with strict requirements, set out by the EN ISO 20345 standard, and feature standard-related marking according to the level of protection they provide.
At PARADE, we provide a range of men's safety boots that meet the EN ISO 20345-standard, with an S3 or S3S level of protection.
This means that our safety boots are antistatic and manufactured with:
• a steel, composite or polycarbonate toecap to protect your toes against impacts and crushing;
• a slip-resistant sole with energy absorption in the heel;
• a metal anti-puncture insert for safety boots with S3 marking, or a fabric insert for models with S3S marking;
• a water-resistant upper.
In addition to these mandatory requirements, PARADE safety boots meet additional requirements:
• SR: slip-resistance (formerly SRC marking on the EN ISO 20345: 2011 version of the standard);
• FO: resistance to hydrocarbons;
• LG: offset heel with ladder grip system;
• SC: scuff cap on the front of the shoe for greater resistance to abrasion;
• HRO: resistance to contact heat up to 300°C;
• CI: sole with insulation against cold;
• HI: sole with insulation against heat;
• non-magnetic.
Comfort and ergonomics
We have equipped our men's safety boots with innovative technologies and a range of features to prevent the risk of injury and improve your well-being. Depending on the models, you benefit from:
• the FLEX SYSTEM: an exclusive sole design that provides greater flexibility when walking and reduces the build-up of soil in the tread pattern;
• the VPS (Suspended Arch Support) technology: a sole with an ergonomic form that ensures comfortable support for the arch of your foot;
• the DRS (Delete Resonance System) technology: a cavity which acts as a shock absorber in the heel;
• the PARADE AIR SYSTEM: an air bubble in the outsole of the shoe that acts as a cushion to increase flexibility when walking;
• a robust insole;
• solid straps to help pull the boots on easily.
To facilitate the online purchasing process, our page dedicated to men's safety boots has a series of filters that you apply. Simply select from list:
• the work environment (worksite, industry, etc.);
• the protection category;
• the type of toecap (steel, polycarbonate, composite);
• the colour (black, brown, cognac);
• the standardised technical features (SRC, CI, HI, HRO, etc.);
• the materials used;
• the size;
• the price range.
How to choose the right size when purchasing safety boots
Ensuring your boots are the right size contributes to the protection they provide. Boots that are too small or too tight can cause discomfort, overheating and blisters. Boots that are too big or too wide can cause rubbing, instability when walking, and may even cause you to fall.
To make sure that your safety boots are the right size for you, take out the removable insole from both boots and then place your feet upon them.
• Do your feet go over the edges? If this is the case, the boots are too small, so choose the next size up.
• Is the space between your toes and the tip of the boot more than 1.5cm? If this is the case, the boots are too big, so choose the size below.
We always recommend that you:
• try your safety boots on with the socks you normally wear at work;
• it is also better to try them at the end of the day, when your feet have swollen;
• walk around in the boots to see if they are comfortable and check that they are neither too tight nor too loose;
• check that you can put a finger between your heel and the back of the boot, but no more: the heel must not slide around in the back of the boot;
